VenaSeal- Treatment for Varicose Veins

How does VenaSeal work?

VenaSeal is an alternate treatment of choice for Varicose veins. It’s a non-thermal treatment option which enhances blood flow and relieves symptoms by sealing the diseased vein. During the procedure, a small amount of a specially formulated medical adhesive is delivered to the diseased vein by the VenaSeal system. The adhesive seals the vein and blood is rerouted through a near by healthier veins, hence, allowing complete relief of  relieves the symptoms.

What to expect during VenaSeal?

Most patient feels a very little pain, if any, during the procedure. You might experience a slight discomfort from the tiny needle sticks. The adhesive that VenaSeal system delivers to the veins may cause a mild sensation of pulling.

What is the downtime?

There is a little to no downtime with VenaSeal. Patients usually return to regular activities immediately after the procedure. We recommend to avoid long haul flights (>4 hours of continuous travel) for at least 2 weeks after the treatment.

What are the risks of VenaSeal?

VenaSeal is a non-thermal and minimally invasive procedure. It may have the following risks:

  • Hyperpigmentation, it means darkening of the skins that usually goes away with time.
  • Allergic reaction to VenaSeal adhesive.
When can I expect to see the results?

How many sessions will I need?

The number of session required depends on how long is the diseases vein and how well your vein responds to treatment. Most patients require 2-4 sessions for best results.
